Lambeth Council Elections
All of the seats on Lambeth Council are up for re-election on Thursday 6th May 2010.
Streatham is divided into four electoral areas called “wards”. Each ward elects three Councillors to serve for four years. Councillors are elected by the “first past the post” system i.e. each voter can cast up to three votes and the three individuals with the greatest number of votes are elected. The Streatham wards are:
Streatham Hill ward (SW2 addresses south of South Circular)
Streatham Wells ward (SW16 addresses east of High Road except for the Stanthorpe Triangle area)
St Leonards Ward (SW16 addresses west of High Road and north of Greyhound Lane plus the Stanthorpe Triangle area)
Streatham South ward (Streatham Vale, and addresses south of Streatham Common and Greyhound Lane)
