About Streatham Action

Welcome to Streatham Action! Streatham Action is the umbrella network for local groups and networks in Streatham. It’s been created to give us a voice to make our case to the council, to Central Gov’t and all the statutory bodies and other groups who have influence over the quality of life and standard of living in Streatham. The idea is that if we speak in a unified way we can achieve much and see action on our behalf.

This website is the primary meeting place for everyday contact, but Streatham Actions’ Management group meet’s bi-monthly at venues in Streatham to consider specific aims the community want to see happen locally, and to bring them to the council, the gov’t or to the appropriate venue. The management group will post meeting dates to the events calendar, and minutes of previous meetings to the site.

Streatham Action aims to provide a central place where interest groups, civic networks such as residents associations, neighbourhood watches or safer Neighbourhoods Panels or other groups and individuals can come together and discuss ways to take action and help make Streatham a better place to live.
