All of the seats on Lambeth Council are up for re-election on Thursday 6th May 2010. Streatham is divided into four electoral areas called “wards”. Each ward elects three Councillors to serve for four years. Councillors are elected by the “first past the post” system i.e. each voter can cast up to three votes and the three individuals with the greatest number of votes are elected.
