To coincide with her exhibition at the Brockwell Lido Café´ photographer Susanne Hakuba offers a 2-part introductory workshop to portrait photography. While it is a highly practical workshop it will also look at the history of portrait photography and discuss topics such as different types of portraits and which aspects to consider in order to create strong portraits.

Fundamentals of portrait photography such as composition, camera settings, posed versus candid portraits and how to make the most of natural lighting are discussed.

In between the two workshops participants are asked to produce portraits themselves, which are then viewed and discussed in the second workshop a week later.

A basic understanding of camera functions and photography is recommended for this workshop. Beginners are welcome.
