Arts & Culture in Streatham's Empty Shops
If there are any artists out there looking to use an empty shop to exhibit Streatham has a few! Or if there are any artists or artisans looking to set up an Xmas stall there a possibility Streatham might have a Xmas market. Anyone up for it or knows someone who is?

Re: Arts & Culture in Streatham Empty Shops
Slightly on a tangent (but only slightly) I’m a theatre maker looking for unusual venues for a new project and, given I live in Streatham, am quite keen to try something out here - using an empty shop might be plausible.
What can we learn from "Brixton Village"
During February and March there is an ambitious programme of events using artists and other “creatives” to bring life to empty units in the covered market of Granville Arcade (Brixton Village as the property owners have re-branded it!)
Does this provide a model for the sort of scheme we might want to see in Streatham?
Although the Brixton project has been subject to criticism that it only brings in “Time Out readers wanting a cheap Saturday” , Time Out readers are people too and money they spend on coffee and a cake in Brixton [or Streatham] is money they would otherwise have spent elsewhere.
