Introducing the New Town centre Manager and the Streatham Business Board
As detailed in the previous post in this forum then updated by our chair, Robert, in this post, we have a new Town Centre Manager for Streatham who is a local resident and has quite an impressive CV of a work portfolio in town centre management and consulting. She has hit the ground running, with the advantage of having run the consultation process to determine the framework for the town centre management post, and synopsising the desires of the business community into her report after the consultancy process. She’s intimately familiar with the issues that face Streatham businesses on the High Road and beyond and has already begun to make a difference working with the Streatham Business Board, the new name for the Town Centre Management committee
Amongst other things she and the board have created sub-committees for Streatham Hill, Streatham Central and Streatham Village (formerly known as “The Dip”) and the board has agreed leadership for these committees going forward. There will be an extraordinary meeting of the Board to agree a new work plan focused on input from the businesses. Each area has different needs and dynamics so a sub-committee focused on the specific areas reporting back to the Board is an efficient way to achieve the best results.
We will report back to the community with our work plan and our priorities, with the outcomes we want to be measured by, and will be very interested in feedback from the community.
